Spammers swamp UK government's data.govwebsite

Spammers swamp UK government's data.govwebsite Data bill faces tough criticism Smart meters 'are privacy risk' Web creator aids UK data institute Spammers have taken over several parts ofa UK government's website that lays out itsopen data policy. Data.gov.uk was created to let people knowwhat the government was doing to open up and share official statistics. The site solicited ideas about how to use the data and invited debate on official policy. However, the discussion forum and suggestions section have been closed after being filled with messages peddling fake designer goods. Junk mail On the Forum section of the site, the most recent messages are nonsensical text broken up by links to web shops selling clothes. Similarly the most recent comments on the ideas section are text studded with links to sites offering counterfeit designer goods. A spokesman for the Cabinet Office confirmed that the comment function on two sections of the site had been turned off while it investigated how to tackle the problem. In a message posted on the site , Antonio Acuna, head of the data.gov.uk project, said the site's spam trapping system was being defeated by the efforts of the junk mailers. Data.gov.uk has automatic systems in placeto spot and trap spam, he said, but these were not so good at spotting spam writtenand posted by people rather than generated by computers. "After a long analysis of the spam in our site, we have a strong feeling that human intervention is also at play," he wrote. Commenting and chatting on the site was being "frozen" he said while it looked at ways to defeat those targeting the forums and comment sections. He said the problem only affected comments and forums and had "no relevance to the data catalogue and the integrity of the information held within it".

Last Aum cult fugitive Katsuya Takahashi arrested in Japan The BBC's Roland Buerk says Mr Takahashi was spotted at an internet cafeDeath for Japan cult chemist Japanese cult fugitive surrenders Tokyo sarin gas attack trials end Police in Japan have arrested the last fugitive of the Aum Shinrikyo doomsday cult, ending a 17-year manhunt. Katsuya Takahashi is suspected of involvement in the 1995 sarin nerve gas attack on the Tokyo subway system that killed 13 people. The police have verified his identity after detaining him near a cafe in Tokyo. A manhunt involving thousands of officers began last week after the suspect fled his home. Mr Takahashi has been on the run since the attacks, which also injured 6,000. On Friday, police took him into custody near a comic book cafe in Tokyo, local media reported. The 54-year-old is suspected of driving a fellow cult-member to a station to release the gas during the morning rush hour. Massive manhunt Archive: The BBC's Katty Kay reported on the attack in March 1995 Another suspect, Naoko Kikuchi, was reportedly arrested two weeks ago. Information from her led the police to a construction firm in Kawasaki where Mr Takahashi had worked under an assumed name, says the BBC's Roland Buerk in Tokyo. He had already fled his room in the company's dormitory, but the police founda recent photograph of him. It was released, along with CCTV footage ofTakahashi withdrawing money from his bank account. A massive manhunt was deployed across Tokyo last week. The man suspected of being Mr Takahashi was detained after a tip-off from a member of the public. On New Year's Eve another former memberof Aum Shinrikyo, Makoto Hirata, turned himself in to police after nearly 17 years onthe run. Nearly 200 Aum Shinrikyo members have been convicted in connection with the sarinattack and other crimes. Thirteen are awaiting execution. Cult leader Shoko Asahara is among those on death row. Aum Shinrikyo reinvented itself as the Aleph group, which continues to operate asa spiritual group.

UK trade deficit widens sharply in April

UK trade deficit widens sharply in AprilrOverall UK exports declined in April UK Economy UK economy tracker Q&A: Quantitative easing High Street casualties Calculate your inflation rate The UK's trade deficit widened sharply in April to its highest level in almost seven years, largely thanks to a slump in car and chemical exports. Official figures showed the seasonally adjusted deficit was £4.4bn, compared with£3bn in March. The worsening deficit was driven by an 8.6% fall in overall exports, including a 6.8% drop in exports to other European Union nations. Analysts said it highlighted the continuing weakness in the UK economy. Howard Archer, chief European and UK economist at IHS Global Insight, said: "Withthe trade deficit widening in April and construction output again disappointing, the chances of the economy avoiding further contraction in the second quarter are dwindling." In April, the total goods trade deficit was £10.1bn, according to official figures, compared with £8.7bn in March. At the same time, the services surplus was £5.7bn in April, slightly lower than March's £5.8bn. Peter Dixon, from Commerzbank, agreed that the latest trade figures added to a weak picture of the UK's economic health:"I think if you look at where we are now... it does imply we're on a deteriorating trend. "It suggests that yet again the eurozone crisis is beginning to have a bigger drag on exports and as a consequence a bigger dragon Q2 GDP [second quarter gross domestic product] numbers. Along with the extra public holiday, it doesn't bode well."

It is selling to partner Marinopoulos, and will take a financial charge of about 220m euros (£179m; $278m) on the deal. In a statement, the company said the movewas in response to "challenges posed by theGreek economic context". Carrefour's shares rose 1.68% following the announcement. On Thursday, it announced that it had bought EKI, the struggling Argentine retailchain. Heavy losses Meanwhile, in further signs of nervousness about the Greek economic situation, Frenchbank Credit Agricole has taken control of assets owned by its Greek subsidiary, Emporiki Bank. It has taken over Emporiki's assets in Albania, Bulgaria and Romania, leading to speculation that it is preparing a full exit from the country if Greece leaves the euro. Emporiki has suffered heavy losses ever since Credit Agricole bought the Greek lender in 2006. In June, ratings agency Moody's downgraded Emporiki to just one notch above default status

Mario Draghi said the euro needed strengthened foundations Eurozone crisis Who's afraid of the euro crisis? How eurozone crisis affects you Key questions: Spain bank deal Q&A: Spain's woes

bussinesThe European Central Bank is ready to provide further support to the eurozone's banking system if necessary, its president Mario Draghi has said. "The eurosystem will continue to supply liquidity to solvent banks where needed," he told a conference. A general election in Greece on Sunday has heightened fears of further instability on financial markets. Anti-austerity parties are expected to do well in the poll, possibly marking the start of Greece's eurozone exit. 'Strengthened foundations' On Thursday, UK Chancellor George Osborneunveiled a multi-billion pound stimulus programme for the economy as protectionagainst the "eurozone debt storm". Mr Draghi, speaking in Frankfurt, said that while financial authorities stood ready to act if necessary, it was now for politicians to take the lead. "Political choices have become predominant over monetary policy instruments," he said. The euro currency needed "strengthened foundations", which would mean governments relinquishing some powers over financial and economic policy to supra-national bodies. Mr Draghi said that he and other top officials working on a longer-term vision for the euro and economic policy will have something "very soon... All the work we're doing is with a view to the next [EU] summit" at the end of June. "The outcome will get to be known pretty soon, in a matter of days," he added.

Breast issues in women

Breast issues in womenBy the end of puberty girls will have developed breasts of an adult size and shape which are symmetrical. However there is great variation in normal breast size. Once developed, breast size will be affected by general weight gain, or loss, and also cyclically there will be changes due to the normal hormonal changes of the monthly menstrual cycle. Slight lopsidedness is also normal and doesn't need treatment, although very occasionally adult women do have such a difference between their breasts that surgery may be available on the NHS to match them. Similarly most women are ofan average size but if a woman has extremely large breasts which are causing her problems, particularly with shoulder strain, and she doesn’t have weight issues which could be causing this, breast reduction surgery may be an option. There are also great differences in nipple size and shape. Inverted nipples are common, and don’t signify a problem unless one changes and becomes inverted (when it wasn’t previously), in which case you should see your doctor. During Pregnancy there are a variety of natural changes to the breast, including: *. Tenderness in the first trimester *. General growth of the breast tissue and nipples through pregnancy *. Darkening of the areolae *. The appearance of small whiter bumps within the areolae called Montgomery’s tubercles Towards the end of pregnancy the breastssecrete a clear, golden coloured ‘pre-milk’ called colostrum, and then once the baby is born normal milk flow will begin. Milk production outside of pregnancy is uncommon but may not be serious. Nipple stimulation occuring in people whogo jogging without wearing a firm support bra may be enough to cause milk to leak, but there are also possible serious causes so you should get your doctor to check you out. Other things that change adult female breast size include hormonal medication such as the combined oral contraceptive pill .
